Established by members of the Pointe-au-Chien Indian Tribe and other local residents, École Pointe-au-Chien is the Bayou Region’s first French Immersion School. In order to preserve the rich culture in this area, members of the tribe rallied and succeeded in providing a place for French to be taught to the local youth.

Our school is open to any child in Terrebonne or Lafourche parish. For the 2024- 2025 school year, we will offer grades Pre- K through 2nd, we will add grades annually until we eventually include Pre- K through 5th grade.
